How ProgressiveDatingTM Works

  • In one evening, you will "date" up-to 30 other people, and up-to 30 people will date you.

  • Each date lasts 3 minutes.

  • If you and someone else at the ProgressiveDateTM both say you would like to see each other again, that is considered a "match," or a successful ProgressiveDateTM.

  • When there is a "match," we will contact each person after the event via email and provide you with your match's email addresses so you can contact each other to date again.

  • The notification email will contain the email address for all your "matches" or successful ProgressiveDatesTM, as well as your total number of missed opportunities (e.g., people choose you, but you do not choose them). We do not provide email address for missed opportunities.

  • Everyone at the ProgressiveDateTM is interested in the same thing, finding someone to date and have a good time with.

ProgressiveDatesTM are held at hip venues in Northeastern Ohio and are designed so that you will meet and interact with as many people in one evening as possible. At each ProgressiveDateTM, you will "date" up to 30 other like-minded people in a two-hour period. Each "date" lasts three minutes, just enough time for you and the other person on the "date" to determine whether or not this is someone you would like to date again later. If you both say "yes, I would like to see this person again," then that is considered a "match" and you will each be contacted via email. The notification email will contain the email address for all your "matches" or successful ProgressiveDatesTM, as well as your missed opportunities (e.g., people choose you, but you do not choose them). It is then up to you, and your matches, to take it from there and determine when and where you will meet again. Remember, you and only you, will decide to whom you would like to provide your email address to. Everyone that participates receives an update email after the ProgressiveDateTM.
When you arrive at the ProgressiveDateTM, you will sign-in and be given a nametag with your first name on it and a number. You will also be given a page of sample questions to use during your "dates." Additionally, you will receive a ProgressiveDatersTM form for you to keep track of who you would like to see again, and whom you wouldn't. The form will have 30 lines on it, one for each "date" you will be on. After every "date," you will mark down whether or not you would like to see that person again. Whenever two parties each say "yes" I would like to see this person again, that is a "match," and you will each be notified via email that you both indicated you were interested in dating one another again.
The format of the ProgressiveDateTM is as follows. After signing-in, you will have a chance to mingle with the other people at the ProgressiveDateTM. The sign-in process requires that you present a valid driver's license or state ID card for verification. Sign-up begins 60 minutes before the scheduled time of the event. If you so desire, please feel free to come even earlier and have a bite to eat! To ensure we have an even balance of men and women, if you have not signed-in at least 15 minutes before the start of the event, your spot could be given to the next person on the waiting list. We recommend that you come dressed like you would for any other first-date you would go on.
Before the ProgressiveDateTM begins, you will be seated at a table where the men are seated on one side, and the women on the other. The ProgressiveDateTM will then begin, and you will get a chance to meet and interact with the person across from you for about 3 minutes. After 3 minutes pass, the men will then move to their left, and the ladies will remain seated. We will follow this process for the first 15 "dates," then we will have a 15-minute break. During the break, you are free to get a drink or to speak with someone you met, or someone you would like to meet again. After the break, we will complete the ProgressiveDateTM
At the end of the evening, each ProgressiveDaterTM will turn their form in, and you will be notified within 48 hours as to which of your dates resulted in "matches." You will then be free to stay at the location of the ProgressiveDateTM as long as you wish, interacting with the other singles you have just met. As you can see, a ProgressiveDateTM is a more like a party than a dating service. Also, please note that we will try and balance the number of men and women at each event; however, we can not guarantee this will occur at each event. To help ensure a balance of men and women, we will have a stand-by list of 3-5 men and women at each event. Stand-bys are not charged unless they actually participate in the ProgressiveDateTM. Stand-bys will be able to mingle with the other ProgressiveDatersTM before and after and during the break. Payment is due in check or cash before each event, there are no refunds, and there is a $25 charge for returned checks. Act now and take advantage of our introductory pricing. To cancel your reservation and receive a credit for an upcoming Progressive Date, please contact us at least 72 hours before the start time of the party you registered for. To cancel, please send an email to info@progressivedaters.com. The time and date of your cancellation will be determined by the time/date stamp of your email when received by us, or our voice messaging system.
